We've just taken in a 2016 Subaru Forester 2.5i Touring SUV. It's finished in Jasmine Green Metallic with a Gray perforated leather interior. With 86,245 miles, a 2.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine, Lineartronic 6-Speed CVT, and Subaru's legendary Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, this Forester is built to confidently handle everything from your weekday commute to weekend adventures. It delivers an EPA-estimated 24 MPG city and 32 MPG highway, giving you the capability you want without sacrificing efficiency.

This Forester comes with a desirable 1-owner history and has been kept in Good condition, giving you added confidence as you shop for your next SUV. As the top Touring trim, it offers an impressive blend of premium comfort, advanced safety, and everyday versatility that continues to make the Forester one of the most trusted compact SUVs on the road.

Slide into the supportive perforated leather seats and you'll immediately appreciate the elevated driving position that gives you an excellent view of the road ahead. Heated front seats provide welcome warmth on cold mornings, while the expansive panoramic power moonroof fills the cabin with natural light and fresh air, making every drive feel more open and enjoyable. Dual-zone automatic climate control keeps everyone comfortable no matter the season, and the power liftgate makes loading groceries, luggage, or outdoor gear simple when your hands are full.

Subaru's renowned EyeSight Driver Assist Technology helps make every journey feel more relaxed with adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and pre-collision braking that work together to add confidence during highway travel and busy traffic. A rear vision camera makes parking easier, while HID headlights, Steering Responsive Fog Lights, and automatic headlights help improve visibility when conditions become less than ideal.

Technology is another highlight of this Touring model. The Subaru STARLINK 7-inch multimedia navigation system puts maps, Bluetooth connectivity, HD Radio, SiriusXM capability, voice controls, and smartphone integration right at your fingertips.

The premium harman/kardon 440-watt audio system delivers rich, immersive sound whether you're listening to your favorite playlist or catching up on podcasts during your commute. Keyless Access with Push Button Start lets you get in and go without digging through your pockets or bag.

When it's time to head out for a weekend getaway, the Forester is ready. X-Mode and Hill Descent Control help provide added confidence on gravel roads, snowy driveways, or muddy trails, while the spacious cargo area and versatile 60/40 split-folding rear seats make it easy to bring camping gear, sports equipment, or home improvement supplies along for the ride.

      Great site

by scooter on 5/7/2026 1:13:37 AM

Easy to get the value for your vehicle, minimal distractions, easy to enter other vehicles. The only hassle was adding extra words and email to this review.

      I like it

by Mark on 11/27/2025 4:22:54 PM

Bought my 2016 Forester new and got about $4k off the sticker price. I maintain it very well and do the work myself. I’ve had to replace the shift safety interlock mechanism at around 80k miles, due to occasionally being unable remove the key from the ignition; replaced rear wheel hub at 130k miles; replaced infotainment head (radio) at about 100k miles. Biggest disappointment is the mediocre a/c that doesn’t blow very cold when it is really hot outside. It’s a very easy car to work on and maintain. New cars today are way overpriced, and I dislike the over abundance of angst inducing “safety” features so I’m going to keep my Forester and swap out the engine and trans. with salvage yard replacements when my engine and trans. give up the ghost.

Mostly enjoyed it until the computer began failing

by rbinsc on 11/10/2025 10:09:28 PM

Bought my "Pearl" '17 Subaru Forester used in 2020 or 21. The best things about it, hands down, were the great visibility from the big windows, high safety rating, ground clearance and rear passenger legroom + cargo space. It got decent gas mileage for mostly in-town driving. On the highway it had lousy road noise, so backseat passengers can't follow a conversation happening in front. I would have kept it until the wheels fell off, but the onboard computer started going haywire and the replacement cost was hefty for an 8 yo vehicle. Aside from road noise, my main complaints were the awful infotainment interface and tiny (useless) backup camera screen. So last November I decided to upgrade to the quieter, hybrid '21 Toyota Venza.
