Comfortable, but get extended warranty

Our 2018 Buick Encore Preferred 2 is a very nice riding quiet vehicle. It was purchased used to replace a GMC Envoy which we really loved, but the rust issues were becoming severe. This vehicle was the affordable option with very low miles .All things considered it has held up well, no major issues. A problem spot is the module for the AWD which seems to need to be replaced yearly. It is covered by the warranty so I think we will only keep it as long as the warranty is in effect. Both rear springs needed to be replaced this year, at 50K miles as they cracked and broke. It is very light, so it can be challenging in the snow and bad weather ( Is a little better with the new Michelin tires, but you still need to be careful). All in all, it is doing what we need it to do, at a price we could afford, but at the end of the warranty we will be looking to replace it with a heavier vehicle (like a pre-owned GMC Acadia or a Buick Envision AWD). We received a notice from GM that they would replace the turbo if it goes bad, as an as-needed recall, but so far we are doing ok with it, but we do allow it to cool down for a few minutes before we turn the engine off. We change the oil and do the maintence through the dealer, oil changes are at 3K miles so that might be helping it. - 4.0
Starts falling apart at about 50,000 miles

Extended warranty is highly recommended because you will have several costly repairs in your future. - 4.0
Practical pick!

Hi I’m writing this review to give some honest insight. I’m a college student and I live about 130 miles from home and do the drive often. My car is a 2015 with what I would consider high mileage. I love the interior and it has the perfect amount of space for me to pack up and take on weekend trips. Realistically, I have to do regular maintenance fixes(brakes, oil, tires) and have had a few “real issues”. I have had to do a $1,000 fix of the intake manifold and $500 suspension fix. My check engine light sometimes turns on even when my car has no symptoms and then turns itself off within a few days. I also have noticed that you can hear a lot of road noise from inside the vehicle. Other than that, it drives well and I really love it.
